A few weeks ago when I saw the NHL's Fight Against Cancer campaign, I decided that wearing a rubber wrist-band was a good way to show my support for those fighting cancer. Doing a quick google search, I found Choose Hope and was very happy to see the wide variety of wrist-bands with so many different colors for the different cancer types. I chose lavender for all cancers. At $2 per wrist-band, it's a small price to pay for the message it sends.
I ordered three, just because it wasn't that much money and the shipping would be the same. Plus, I wanted to be sure I had extras, as I plan on wearing them as long as possible. The order process was great, shipping was timely and the order tracking process worked well. When I got the package, I immediately put on the wrist-band. However, I was bummed that the first band broke as I tried to slide it over my hand. I weigh 165 and my hand isn't that big, so I was sort of surprised (and glad I bought three). I grabbed the 2nd wrist-band and it went on fine and has been on my wrist ever since.
Under normal circumstances, I would be upset that any product I bought would break the first time I try to use it. However, at only $2 and for the good cause it stands for, it is a non-issue. The only reason I mention it is for Choose Hope to get the information, so that they can use the information to maybe improve the product in the future. I don't want the product replaced, as I would prefer for those few dollars (product + shipping) to stay with the organization to better the cause. If/when my two bands wear out or break, I will re-order from Choose Hope because of the good they are doing to raise awareness for all types of cancer, the reasonable price and the fact that these types of initiatives need to continue.
Plus, as my wrist-band says, "Cancer Sucks" and we need to do everything we can to stop, as I call it, "the devil's disease".

October 8, 2014 I ordered the orange Hope rings after I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I wear mine everyday and people will ask what it is for. It is great for cancer awareness. My daughter, sister, and niece wear the orange bracelets and rings. I plan on ordering more.

January 3, 2013 I love the pins. I was so happy to receive the pins. One is on my hospital volunteer smock and is doing fine. I put the second on my canvas purse's outer flap. The pin's back must have fallen off, because lost it kn less then two weeks. I felt it was secure. Be careful where you pin it. I do like the product.

June 15, 2016 - It's a fact of life that one loses hair during chemo & while many of us choose to sport our glorious bald heads proudly, some folks just can't handle the sight. To protect their feelings I wore my collection of baseball caps & even added more. I also purchased these little stick-on ribbons to help bring awareness to the battle in which I was involved. May 16, 2018 My 7-year old is currently going through treatment for medulloblastoma. She was pleased when I gave her the bracelet and I bought a few extras and told her she could give them out to friends. They are really more like "adult-sized" but she didnt mind because it was something nice to have. She doesnt wear it often (bc of the awkward fit for her little wrist), but when she does, she shows it off. 🙂

June 19, 2012 - I purchased this pin as a small token for my mother in law after she had surgery for uterine cancer. I had it delivered to her house as a small surprise (love the fact that it came with a free card!) and it was perfect.
Convenient price, pin looks just as pictured, and she wears it proudly. She says it makes her cry (in a good way). :o)

September 13, 2011 I bought 2 of these, one for myself, and one for my husband, as he had stage 4 Bladder cancer. Since my husband has had his bladder, Prostrate, urethra, and 13 lymph nodes removed, he is now undergoing Chemo treatments. December 10, 2017 - I have ribbons to support all the cancer fighters of our church. I lined up the magnets under the driver's window on my car (7 in all). I call it my "Prayer Wall". Every time I get in the car, I'm reminded to pray for these brave folks. Whenever I pull up to a drive-thru window, it's amazing how many conversations my prayer wall will generate. I've talked to so many people who have loved ones battling this disease. (And I always offer to pray for their loved ones, too.)

Karen's Story
I was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer in August, 2018. I started chemo in September, had surgery in November of that year and more chemo treatments. After thirteen rounds of different and same chemo infusion over the last five years, I still have cancerous tumors on my lymph nodes. I am still on chemo treatment with the hope that this one works but my cancer tumors are very stubborn.
