Terri’s Story

I was 1st diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. Because of fear due to watching my sister go through triple negative breast cancer, I waited too long and the cancer traveled into my lymph nodes and I tested positive for metastatic invasive ductal carcinoma.

It’s now stage 1-2 with metastatic in the lymph node tested after a double mastectomy and 4 lymph nodes removed. No sign of it traveling yet. I have been a health freak since I was 18.  When I became sick, I wasn’t sure if I was doing anything wrong but after checking my body head to toe, I was healthy other than this geneo-type cancer I was born with. My doctors are amazed they are not sure how I survived stage 4 metastatic triple-negative breast cancer.  Although I’m still fighting metastatic invasive ductal carcinoma, I have hope for living.
